What’s Happening in America?
The same thing that took place in 1933 in Germany.
America
There’s a dictatorship and authoritarian government in power in America, put in place by people that began to feel disenfranchised after holding an unjustified high position in society since the formation of modern-day America.
Germany
Nazi Germany rose to power after being put into place by a certain faction of the German population, those that associated themselves as “true” Germans. Nationalism formed much the same way that America participates in Nationalism (disguised as patriotism) today.
The Persecution
Germany
When persecution of Jewish people began in Germany, the goal was first to have forced immigration, where Jewish people were disenfranchised, harassed, and made to leave Germany. Many German Jewish people did leave, but then many countries closed their borders because of the mass number of people immigrating.
America
In America, there’s a fear of the growing Hispanic population number by people that historically represented the majority population in the country. To reduce the number of people of Hispanic descent living in America, there’s been an overwhelming crackdown of immigration in an aggressive manner with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents terrorizing undocumented people and American citizens alike and forcefully deporting undocumented people out of America.
Where It Began
Germany
People cite certain reasons for why the Holocaust began. One area that they’ve pinpointed is the harsh punishment in the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 that Germans received after World War I and how demoralized and bankrupt it left the country and the citizens. After WWI, Germans were blamed for causing the war. They were also forced to reduce their army, and surrender part of their territory. They were severely fined, which led them to start printing money to pay off their debts. This led to their money being worthless because so much was being printed.
America
In America, there was a shift in the culture that came with social media due to how interconnected Americans became. With that interconnectedness, an even bigger obsession with celebrity culture and an ability to reach them through the phone. There was also a civil rights movement blossoming at the same time, with black people fighting against police brutality, rights for members of the LGBTQ+ community to be able to marry, transgender rights, and the Me Too movement. These fights called for rights along with accountability for those who caused the harm, and rightfully so.
However, there was also a dark-side of this where cancel culture was born, which sought to strip anyone who caused any perceived offense of their own livelihood. There was massive shaming that took place in America for years, people being called out rather than called in, and harsh punitive condemnation of anyone who put a toe out of line. In a desire to course correct for past trauma and harm, people over corrected. Or perhaps it was just reactive abuse. In any case, people that should have been dealt with in love were now being looped into the same bag as people who were the worst of the worst.
Here We Are
Germany
After being down and out for so long, to restore their sense of power and dignity, Germans subscribed to Nazism. They targeted Jewish people, produced propaganda against them, and basically scapegoated them, culminating in one of the most horrific tragedies in history, the Holocaust. Reeling back from the perceived harsh punishment that they received and a desire to restore dignity to their country, this is what resulted.
Hitler came to power, Nationalist propaganda was massively produced, Jewish people were immediately persecuted, the country went to war, and Hitler began his world conquering mission, much of what he did being outlined in Mein Kempf.
America
Many people that are afforded the full privileges of citizenship of this country by oppressing others are starting to believe that their rights are being taken from them. This isn’t the case, it just that when they have been oppressing others for so long, when others begin to demand their freedom, starts to feel like they’re losing power and they are, but it’s a power that was perverse and that they never should have had in the first place.
After Obama got elected and people from minority groups began demanding equality, many Americans that once held a perverse power had a real and visceral reaction to this. This led to Trump being elected and the damage that is being caused to America today. The economy is terrible, America is at war, the country is divided, Americans live in a hostile air, and Trump is on a world conquering mission some of these goals of which he outlined in Project 2025.
The Reckoning of a Nation
This only ends one way. It’s no different than when a person is dealing with a bully, and someone repeatedly takes their behavior and then they finally fight back and shut the bully down. People of other nations aren’t going to put up with certain behavior but for so long. Anytime someone tries to take away people’s freedom, there will always be pushback from them. People just aren’t going for that. They’re always going to fight back no matter what.
Once this is all said and done, a lot of tragedy will ensue as it already has, but there will be the reckoning that comes from this.
After WWII, many people who participated in Nazism weren’t persecuted, but educated about the destructive behavior that they caused. Only the leaders of the Nazi party were persecuted. Germany also committed to paying reparations to Jewish survivors of the Holocaust. There is an ongoing effort in Germany today to remember and historically portray what happened during that time in schools.
There’s been a call for America to face its original sin and its past for a long time now, the original sin being chattel slavery and what it has done to the black community among the destruction it has caused to various cultural groups such as Native Americans and Hispanic Americans. America today is very anti-intellectual, making sure not to teach about the history of America from anything but a very specific lens and doing all they can to erase the history of African Americans and anyone considered “other” in general.
Once this reckoning happens, there will be a restructuring of education in schools, the country will have to face its original sin and be forced to figure out reparations specifically to help African Americans. The social hierarchy that was structed in American by the “founding fathers” will have to be dismantled, and the Constitution will have to be rewritten if America plans to move forward as a healthy and thriving nation.
But only after the dust settles.
